Resource sharing for mutual benefit is one of the main advantages of collaborative farming. Shared resources could include the following:

- Resources

- Knowledge of farming practices

- Equipment
- Infrastructure (for example: barns, greenhouses, or hoop houses)
- Land
- Costs
- Marketing and distribution plans and activities
- Pack houses or processing facilities (and labor)
